Nearly 80 years of legacy meets a bold new chapter of growth and innovation.
Gainesville, GA- December 5, 2025- Lawson Air Conditioning & Plumbing, the trusted name in 
North Georgia for HVAC and plumbing since 1946, has broken ground on its new 64,000 
square-foot headquarters in Gainesville, GA. This project marks a major milestone in the 
company’s nearly 80-year history symbolizing continued growth, deep community roots, and 
a forward-looking vision under third-generation family leadership. 

Founded by L.D. Lawson in 1946, Lawson Air Conditioning & Plumbing began as a small, 
family-run business dedicated to quality workmanship and integrity. Nearly eight decades 
later, the company has grown to one hundred employees serving residential, commercial, 
and industrial customers across North Georgia- all while staying true to its founding values of 
honesty, craftsmanship, and care. 

Lawson Air Conditioning & Plumbing is led by Debbie Lawson Davis, the founder’s daughter, 
alongside her husband Vince Davis, their sons Travis and Taylor, and Travis’ wife, Ashley. 
Together, they lead a team of one hundred employees, continuing the mission L.D. started: 
serving customers with honesty, quality, and care.

that has supported us for generations,” said Travis Davis, Vice President. “Our new 
headquarters represents more than a building- it is an investment in our team and in the 
future of Gainesville. We are creating a space that honors our legacy while positioning 
Lawson for decades of innovation and growth.”

The new facility, located in the Gainesville 85 Business Park, will house corporate offices, 
expanded operations, a state-of-the-art training room, and warehouse space to better serve 
customers throughout the region. Designed with collaboration, efficiency, and employee wellbeing in mind, the new headquarters will reflect the company’s core values- Customer First, 
Quality Service, Individual Attention, and Total Commitment- known collectively as The 
Lawson Way. 

In keeping with Lawson’s commitment to supporting the local economy, the project will be 
built using local partners, including Candler Development Services, Simpson Trucking & 
Grading, JG Electric, Vivre Interiors, and Garrard Construction.

“These partners reflect our belief in investing in the same community that has invested in us,” 
Davis added. “It means so much that as we build for the future, we are doing it alongside 
North Georgia businesses who share our values and commitment to quality.”
Construction is expected to be completed in Fall 2026 with plans for a grand opening 
celebration once the new facility is operational. The 64,000 square-foot facility includes a 
20,000 square-foot suite available for lease.

generation of delivering the same dependable service, building on what my Daddy, L.D. 
Lawson began nearly 80 years ago.”
