On Monday, April 15, 2019, the UNG Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band will present an evening of music representing a wide variety of composers and styles. The focus of the program will be enjoyable and accessible, modern music. Notable pieces on the program include Aquarium by Johan de Meij and One Life Beautiful by Julie Giroux. The evening will conclude with music from the video games “Halo”, “Civilization 4”, and “Kingdom Hearts” which will be played by the combination of both bands. The members of the Wind Ensemble and Symphonic band are UNG undergraduates representing a wide variety of majors. Both ensembles are under the direction of Dr. J. Ashley Jarrell.
