Erosion & Sedimentation Certification Training The Georgia Erosion & Sedimentation Act states that all persons involved in land disturbing activities must be trained and state certified no later than Dec. 31, 2006. NPDES Level 1A Fundamentals Certification course topics covered in this class are fundamentals of erosion and sediment control, the Georgia Erosion & Sedimentation Act, NPDES Permits, field maintenance, stream buffers, vegetative and structural Best Management Practices (BMPs). Who needs to attend this class: contractors, builders, developers, plumbers, electricians, site superintendents, grading and utility contractors, city/county maintenance crews, landscapers, septic system installers and monitoring consultants in the proper installation, maintenance and inspection of BMPs on construction sites Requirements for Certification: ? You must register for and attend a Conservation Commission approved and posted ?Fundamentals Certification Course? ? You must submit the appropriate certification application ? You must receive a passing score of 70% on the Level 1A exam Wed Oct. 17 8:00am - 5:00pm $125 Sign in at 7:30am (fee includes breakfast, lunch, and exam) Test is included in class.
