You never want to think you could be an FBI statistic . . . One in four women will be sexually assaulted, and women in college have the highest risk. What are you doing to protect yourself? The first line of defense is learning defense.
The UNG Police Department (UNGPD) encourages women to be prepared before it happens. On September 26, 2019, the UNGPD will offer the Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) class to the UNG community. The R.A.D. program provides students with knowledge to recognize danger, and avenues for avoiding them. R.A.D. instructors recreate real life scenarios that put students into an adrenalized state while they defend themselves, and teach them to overcome their natural instinct to freeze.
Our RAD instructors will walk you through the defensive process, which is easier than you think.
