Join Kate Porfilio, Director of Creative Field Media and Sumner Markwalter, Career Services Specialist and Intern Coordinator at the University of North Georgia for this informative workshop on how to implement a successful internship program for your business.
Meet the Presenters:
Kate Porfilio is Director of Creative Field Media, a marketing and design agency located in Dahlonega, GA. Kate has over 15 years’ experience in web design, graphic design and marketing. She leads a team of talented designers who are passionate about helping companies flourish. Her husband Darren is the Distribution Manager of a life sciences company and is an avid falconer. When Kate’s not having fun at work, she’s probably playing the classical guitar, painting, studying some obscure language or spending time with their two adorable dogs, Theo and Argos.

Sumner Markwalter is a Career Services Specialist and Internship Coordinator for the Career Services Office at the University of North Georgia. She previously worked for six years as an Executive Recruiter for a firm in Athens, GA. Before beginning recruiting, Sumner worked for the Office of the Governor for the State of Georgia and served as the Governor’s Intern Coordinator, responsible for placing college interns in the Governor’s Office and various state agencies.
