Battle Branch
Before the gold lottery in Dahlonega, GA, miners were working in the same stream or small branch, when several got into a dispute over the possession of the mine, which ended in a fight and a number of men were seriously wounded. That became known as the Battle Branch Mine.
We did not set to make a barrel aged mead that people would fight over, but many are jockeying for position. Made with GA honey, raspberries, cherries, blackberries and a good dose of cocoa nibs and a little vanilla bean, we then slammed all this into a couple of chocolate rye whiskey barrels and let it sit for over 8 months. At 16.5% it is sure to get you talking about possessing a glass or two of this elixir. Tap Room only for now, yes, on tap for National Mead day, August 4th, 2018. Come #GetchaBuzzOn
Southern Luau
We wanted to bring a little tropical fun and excitement to our tap room, nothing does that better than a good ole Luau, Southern style. We caramelized over 30 pounds of pineapple and bananas to add in secondary from our wildflower mead and thru in some special Hawaiian vanilla to top it off. This 6.5% ABV session style mead will get you dancing and will be on tap at our tasting room in time for National Mead day August 4th, 2018. Come #GetchaBuzzOn
