Internationally recognized speaker, author, law professor and human rights activist Karima Bennoune will share three lectures under the heading, Challenging Religious Fundamentalism and Terrorism. Her writings have appeared in leading acadmic journals, The New York Times, Reuters and a plethora of other highly regarded publications. She has lectured around the world including Harvard Law School, International Peace Institute, University of Oslo, Instabul Conference and has a TED talk with more than 1.4million views. A winner of the prestigious Derrick Bell Award serves on various boards that address international issues.
An internationally recognized advocate for cultural and women's rights and an expert on religious extremism. Professor Bennoune is both a consultant and serves and an expert for organizations including UNESCO, International Council on Human Rights and the African regional summit on countering violent extremism.
