Chestatee Ford has reached two exciting milestones as the company celebrates 20 years in Lumpkin County and announces the expansion of the Chestatee Ford Collision Center.
A Grand Opening Celebration, sponsored by the Development Authority of Lumpkin County, is scheduled for 11 a.m. on April 13 at the Chestatee Ford Collision Center, 35 Breakstone Drive, Dahlonega, GA.
“We are proud to be a part of Lumpkin County, we want to be good neighbors and try to do the right thing for the community and our customers,” said Chestatee Ford President Gary Billings. “The expansion of the Collision Center was a logical step. It will keep the company moving forward and supports our goal to win the Ford President’s Award again this year.”
Chestatee Ford is truly a hometown, American, and neighborhood dealership. They are avid supporters of numerous organizations in Lumpkin County and the region including Lumpkin County Schools, Lumpkin County Family Connection, Rainbow Children’s Home, Community Helping Place, Lumpkin County Parks & Recreation, Enotah CASA, Jeremiah’s Place, Lions Club, Rotary Club, Historic Holly Theater, Humane Society, Lumpkin County Literacy Coalition, 4-H Club, Unseen Hands Food Bank, Woody Gap School, and the University of North Georgia Foundation.
Chestatee Ford employees have a special community assistance fund for employees to contribute a small amount each pay period. The owners of Chestatee Ford match these donations and use the funds to help people in Lumpkin county and surrounding areas. Over the past 17 years, $178,000 has been raised to pay power bills, purchase propane tanks, repair vehicles, pay rent, and assist with medical bills.
Because of the support provided to organizations and individuals over the past two decades, Chestatee Ford was recognized by the Dahlonega Nugget with the Heart of Gold Award. The generosity of Chestatee Ford President Gary Billings and the entire Chestatee Ford team towards these causes year-after-year demonstrates Chestatee Ford’s loyalty to the community, and the Development Authority of Lumpkin County appreciates all they do!
“Chestatee Ford is a pillar in the business community and a top employer in Lumpkin County,” said Development Authority Chairman Chuck Jones. “We are excited to acknowledge Chestatee Ford’s longevity and economic investment in Lumpkin County at the Grand Opening Celebration.”
The Development Authority of Lumpkin County’s mission is to enrich local employment, the county tax base, and business opportunities while honoring the community’s history, natural beauty, and character. By Visiting, Acknowledging, Listening, Utilizing, and Engaging, the Authority’s VALUE Program connects businesses with resources designed to help grow operations, increase sales, identify new markets, and engage the community.
