Event at Georgia Mountain Master Gardeners

The North Georgia area is fortunate to have the opportunity to hear nationally recognized, multi-media personality Erica Glasener speak at Dahlonega Park and Recreation on September 8 at 7 PM.  Ms. Glasener is a horticulturist, author, and lecturer and was the award winning host of HGTV’s A Gardener’s Diary for fourteen years.   In July of 2011 she received a Garden Media Award from Perennial Plant Association for her promotion of perennials in her writing and lectures. Currently Ms. Glasener offers online content for the Southern Living Plant collection and for Fiskars where she is a garden expert, along with writing her garden activities blog at www.ericaglasener.com or on Twitter @ericaglasener.  Ms. Glasener has been a columnist for Southern Lady Magazine, Fine Gardening and the Atlanta Journal - Constitution for over ten years, writing a bi-weekly column on plants and garden design. She also addresses garden shows across the country and is a frequent guest on regional and national radio programs.  Furthermore Ms. Glasener is the author of several books; her latest is Proven Plants:  Southern Gardens.  Her informative books will be on sale during the event, payable with cash or checks.

The Georgia Mountains Master Gardeners organization is hosting Erica Glasener for a lecture on “Designing a Garden for Four Seasons.”  This event is free to the public with refreshments being served.  Please join us for an educational evening with fellow garden enthusiasts on Monday, September 8 at 7 PM at Dahlonega Park and Recreation Building, 365 Riley Road.   We are expecting a large crowd, so please come early.  At the end of Erica’s presentation, there will be a time for questions and answers.  For more information, please call Juanita Tipton at 706-867-1835.
