The award-winning David Brothers Trio will perform an evening of jazz music focused on the repertoire of legendary jazz trumpeter Miles Davis on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 7:30 pm in the Ed Cabell Theater Lobby on the Gainesville Campus of the University of North Georgia, and on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 7:30 pm in the Shott Performance Hall on the Dahlonega Campus. Miles Davis’ career spanned 5 decades, and he led several of the most important style periods in the history of American jazz. The David Brothers Trio, which consists of UNG professor Andy David (trumpet and piano), John David (drums), and Tim Aucoin (bass) have performed together throughout the southeast on jazz festival programs and as headliners on community arts series for more than a decade. The trio’s recordings are frequently heard on Spotify, downloaded on iTunes, and they are into a second pressing of their 2015 album, No Room For Squares.
