A major regional frisbee dog event will be held in Dahlonega October 4 and 5, 2014. Exciting family entertainment with amazing frisbee (disc) dogs, featuring regional, national, and world-class disc dog teams in three days of Skyhoundz competitions, the weekend will decide Georgia State Skyhoundz champions and will qualiffy teams for the World Championships, 2015. All events are free to spectators; entry fees apply to competitors
Dahlonega Disc Dog Days is organized by Dahlonega Action Dogs, and is open to competitors of all levels. The events consist o SkyhoundzDisccdogathon World ChampionshiQualifierp on Saturday October 4, and Georgia State Skyhoundz Championship on Sunday October 5. All three events will be held at Yahoola Creek Park.

Yahoola Creek Park Yahoola Creek Park, at 1166 Captain McDonald Road, features a 1.5-mile walking trail with two outdoor pavilions as well as tennis courts, baseball fields, softball fields, soccer fields, an outdoor classroom, and concessions and restroom facilities. There are two areas of playgrounds, and a popular 18-whole Disc Golf Course. Picnic areas with picnic tables are located along beautiful Yahoola Creek.
