Coming on September 25, 2016 and taking place in Georgia's Premier Cycling Venue, the Six Gap Century & Three Gap Fifty boasts many of the same roads and mountain climbs as the elite Tour de Georgia. Come ride the Ride of the Pros! The Six Gap Century's ultra challenging route takes you up and down six of the steepest climbs in the North Georgia Mountains. Test your stamina with more than 11,200 feet of vertical climbing over the 104 mile course. Elevations for the six gaps in this ride range from 1,400 feet to 3,460 feet. The toughest climb, Hogpen Gap, will test even the strongest riders, averaging a 7% grade for seven miles, with sections as steep as 15%. 100 miles. 11,200 vertical feet. 2,500 friends.

Trick-or-Treat Dahlonega Ghosts, goblins, witches, wizards and more will be wandering the streets of Downtown Dahlonega on October 31, 2016 at Trick-or-Treat Dahlonega. This event, brought to the community by the Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Chamber of Commerce and downtown merchants, provides a safe environment for parents to bring children trick or treating during daylight hours. The event will take place on Monday, October 31 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, rain or shine. Trick-or-Treat Dahlonega is intended for children ages 12 and under and appropriate costumes are appreciated! For safety reasons, the roads will be closed and re-routed during the event. Costume Contest at the Dahlonega Gold Museum at 6:00 PM Registration: 5:15 PM to 5:45 PM Age groups for costumes with 1st, 2nd, 3rd & most original awards Trunk-or-Treat presented by UNG Office of Residence Life 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM In parking lot 16 adjacent to Chestatee Street Please help Dahlonega keep this family fun tradition!
