About Us

The South Enotah Child Advocacy Center (SECAC) is a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to unite community partners to deliver excellence in child abuse response and prevention through service, education, and leadership. The SECAC provides forensic interviews, advocacy, therapy, and forensic medical examinations to child victims of abuse and neglect. The SECAC provides support, advocacy, and therapy to non-offending caregivers as well. The SECAC coordinates the Lumpkin and White County Multidisciplinary Teams (MDTs). These teams include prosecuting attorneys, law enforcement officers, child protective services workers, medical and mental health providers, and other victim advocates. The SECAC works with these professionals to better coordinate child abuse investigations and ensure that no victim falls through the cracks. Importantly, the SECAC provides all of these services at no cost to victims or their families
