DESCRIPTION:No other woman in the history of Dahlonega has played such an important role in helping to preserve our city's rich history than Madeleine K. Anthony. Many of our local landmarks and public buildings owe their origins to Madeleine's efforts. From Lumpkin County's first Chamber of Commerce to our annual Gold Rush Days festival\, Madeleine played a key role in getting both started.\n\n\n\nLocal historian Chris Worick will recount many of Madeliene's achievements and personal accounts about her life as Dahlonega's undisputed ambassador.\n\n\n\nA light\, breakfast will be provided at 8 am with the program starting at 8:30 am.\n\n\n\nPresentation & Breakfast Fee:\n\n$5 Members / $10 Non-members.\n\nAnnual Membership Dues: $10/year (membership is not required to attend)\n\n\n\nW.I.L.L. is monthly social and professional networking opportunity for women who live or work in Lumpkin County. It is designed to encourage the growth and development of leadership skills\, as women from all walks of life are empowered to achieve and to dream.
