DESCRIPTION:North Georgia Chamber Symphony May Concerts\n\n \n\nFriday\, May 12th \, 7:30 \, Hancock Park\, Dahlonega\n\nSaturday\, May 13th\, 4:00\, Pavilion at The Arts Council\, Gainesville\n\nSunday\, May 14th\, 3:00\, Union County Schools Fine Arts Center\, Blairsville  \n\n \n\nJoin us Mother's Day weekend for a fabulous concert! Our guest performer is Pamela Ryan\, who is Professor of Viola at the Florida State University College of Music.  She also is an experienced jazz violist\, so you might hear a little jazz too!\n\nWe're opening with Prokofieff's March from the Love for Three Oranges\, which some of you will remember from the radio show Your FBI in Peace and War.  \n\nPamela will play Concerto for Viola in D Major\, Op 1 by Karl Stamitz\, a piece which lets the violist show off his skills and really entertains the audience.\n\nThis will be followed by Janacek's Idyll\, a set of 7 short\, very different\, pieces. \n\nHymn to the Fallen and Summon the Heroes\, both by John Williams and John Phillip Sousa's Liberty Bell March conclude the program
