Tiny Home Mountain Festival
Dahlonega -Lumpkin Chamber member Eagle Ridge Builders is jumping onto the tiny house bandwagon in a large way. Eagle Ridge has a local presence, with a showroom just off Georgia 400, but it's a festival showcasing tiny homes -- set for September 23 and 24 in East Ellijay -- that has them very excited.
The Tiny Home Mountain Festival, set for the fall in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, will allow visitors to check out house models that highlight tiny home trends. In particular, visitors can explore the “Net Zero Project” that shows guests how to incorporate off-the-grid lifestyles into their tiny home plans – from foundational anchoring in previously unusable land to solar living to state-of-the-art composting toilets.
The Tiny Home Mountain Festival will give visitors an opportunity to explore the tiny home lifestyle in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains. It will feature the area's best live music, local wineries, food, artisans and merchants. There will be something for everyone of all ages, from a Kids Zone to educational and informative demonstrations for adults.
More than 15 tiny homes will be on display, all focusing on the quality of the product and the value and innovation of a sustainable lifestyle.
The event is sponsored by Ikea and others. There are admission fees, and more information can be found at tinyhomemountainfestival.com
