20th Annual ''A Taste of the Mountains'' Returns March 13th
“Taste” is the major fundraiser for Lumpkin County Family Connection (LCFC) and helps support the goals of preventing child abuse and neglect while helping all children in Lumpkin County succeed in school.
The event will likely sellout, so buy tickets soon. They are still just $15 for anyone over 12; $5 for ages 5-12 and children under the age of 5 eat free. Tickets are available at the Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Chamber of Commerce, Jolie Day Spa, or at the LCFC office.
“Everybody from babies to older adults love ‘A Taste of the Mountains,’ says Brigette Barker, Executive Director of LCFC. “We keep the prices low so lots of people can attend. We have restaurants that return every year. We love having a few new restaurants in the mix. Last year was the first time we had an ice cream truck. It was a big hit and is coming back! I guarantee attendees will have fun and will leave full!”
This year’s silent auction offers more items than ever and includes tickets to Jet Blue Airlines, Verizon Ampitheatre, Atlanta Ballet, Disney World, Georgia Aquarium – just to name a few; Plus there is an item made by Lumpkin County High School shop class, numerous restaurant gift certificates, and gift items donated by local merchants. Additional auction items will continue to come in.
If you can’t attend and would still like to support Family Connection, sponsorships are
available from $50 to $5,000; or donations of any amount are accepted and appreciated.
