''Hearts for the Homeless'' 3rd Annual Spaghetti Supper
The fundraiser is a project of North Georgia Interfaith Ministries, Inc. (NGIM) as they work to address the problem of homelessness in Lumpkin County. NGIM is dedicated to providing the homeless with transition housing as well as counseling and support services to address the root cause of their circumstances. It is the vision of NGIM to give the residents hope and a future with the intent of changing the trajectory of their lives.
Jeremiah’s Place is an eight-unit complex, comprised of 4 duplexes on two acres of land off Red Oak Flats Road in Lumpkin County. Jeremiah’s Place has six residential units and two support units. Since receiving its first residents in mid-December 2015, Jeremiah’s Place has served 19 homeless families consisting of 32 adults and 31 children.
This year’s goal is to sell 800 or more tickets for the event, according to event chairman, Bill Poitevint.
Tickets for the Spaghetti Supper will be $10 per person or $25 for a family (two adults and children 18 and under). Tickets will be available at the three hosting Churches. For more information, please contact Bill Poitevint at 706-344-9302 or email at email@example.com.
