SUMMARY:Samuel McDuffie\, emerging artist LIVE in the Roots
DESCRIPTION:Samuel McDuffie found his love for music and songwriting as a teenager growing up in Macon\, GA. He wrote his first song at age 13 and performed his first concert at age 15. Over the years\, Samuel has lived and toured all over the southeast\, allowing him to grow his songwriting and stage presence. He now lives in Dahlonega\, GA\, and hopes to continue to perform and entertain. Through his love of Southern Rock and interest in Appalachian American culture\, he has crafted his songwriting into an artform of storytelling\, ranging from sing-a-longs to character building.\n\nHis craftsmanship takes the listener on a journey through history and gives them the perspective of the characters he has created with his songs.\n\nThis night of music will provide the audience with Samuel McDuffie\, welcoming his new band "Bleak Midnight" making their first public debut. Bleak Midnight will be joining Samuel McDuffie to play a few songs on their upcoming EP that will be released in 2024. Come out and enjoy a night of storytelling through the eyes of Moonshiners\, a Cherokee Princess\, First-Time Parents\, Fisherman\, and Friends last summer together before the venture into the real world of working full time.\n\nIntimately connect to both artist and venue in our lush\, speakeasy-style listening room. Hear the stories behind the all-original songs as the artist(s) share their inspiration and even their heartaches.\n\nDoors open at 7:00pm\; show starts at 7:30pm\; Locally-sourced craft beer and wine available for purchase.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLimited seating. Contact events@canopyandtheroots.com to reserve your VIP table\, couch\, or booth.
