Donors must be 16 or older\, weigh at least 110 pounds and show photo ID.  Sixteen year olds require written parental permission (form available at LifeSouth.org).  Drink water and eat\, within 3 hours of donating.\nLifeSouth Community Blood Centers must collect at least 725 units of blood from volunteer donors every day to meet the needs of patients in the hospitals we supply.
