SUMMARY:Fool's Gold Mountain Bike Races and Festival
DESCRIPTION:The second annual Fool?s Gold 100 and 50 mile Mountain Bike Races & Festival will be held August 15-17 in Dahlonega\, GA.  Camp Wahsega 4-H center proved to be the perfect venue for this type of event\, with pavilions\, a creek to cool off in\, bunkhouses for up to 250 people\, onsite meals\, beer\, fire rings\, etc. all at the Start/Finish location of the race.  The Fool?s Gold event will also be the 6th race of the National Ultra Endurance (100 miler) Series in 2008!  This alone will attract hundreds of racers from across the country.   We will again hold two races\, a 50 mile race which is a challenge in itself\, plus a 100 mile race for the hard core athletes.  The festival will include: Live bands\, food\, microbrews\, wine tastings\, contests\, free giveaways\, organized social rides (i.e. beginner\, intermediate\, advanced)\, bike demos\, and more.
